South Carolina and Georgia are the heart of boiled peanut country — South Carolina even made the boiled peanut its official state snack — with plenty more stands across North Carolina and Florida. Stands sell boiled peanuts most of the year, but the real season follows the green-peanut harvest — roughly mid-August through early November across the Carolinas and Georgia, peaking September into October.
